The NHS re:source procurement hub operates on behalf of its shareholders, who are NHS organisations within the East Midlands. It is an agency of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. NHS re:source was set up by its shareholder to drive quality and value improvements through regional procurement.
As a public sector organisation with the requirement for full content management of the site, we identified the most economic solution was through the use of the open source content management platform Drupal . This allowed for significant cost savings that were passed onto the NHS while still delivering a professional product that surpassed the project requirements.
